Model-based price. Confirm on site: access, height, rot, lead paint, HOA colour approval. Printed scope should list prep and coats explicitly.
Cost build-up
Reserve the date
A deposit holds the slot and converts the estimate into a scheduled job. Wire your own Stripe link in settings — no platform cut.
Step two · lock the date
They pick the window. You get the invite.
The homeowner chooses a day and an arrival window here, not in a phone tag chain. The slot holds for 24 hours. The deposit confirms it.
No card needed to book. The deposit is separate and refundable up to 48 hours before the visit.
Everything they ask, answered here
The objections get handled before the call, not during it.
Every question below is the one a homeowner asks in the last thirty seconds before saying yes. Answering them on the page removes the callback that usually kills the job.
Edit any of these in contractor settings — they are your words, not ours.
Is this price final?
It is a firm price for the scope shown, at the substrate area and condition entered. It changes only if the on-site walkthrough finds something not visible here — rot, bare wood, failed caulk or lead paint. That gets photographed and re-quoted before any work starts, never billed as a surprise.
What if I do not like the colour once it is up?
You see the colour on your own house before you commit — that is what the visualizer is for. Two free sample boards go up on your wall before the job. If the colour still is not right after the first coat, we stop and re-tint before the second.
Who is actually showing up, and are they insured?
The crew that does the work is the crew on this quote — no subcontracting out. Licensed and insured, certificate available on request before the first day.
How long will it take?
The estimate shows crew-days, not calendar days. Weather, dry time between coats and access all move it. You get a start date and a finish date in writing, and a daily text if anything shifts.
What do I pay, and when?
The deposit holds the date and comes off the final invoice. Nothing else is due until the job is finished and you have walked it with the crew lead. No progress payments mid-job.
What if it rains, or the crew does not show?
Weather days get rescheduled to the next available window and you are told the same day, not the morning of. If the crew no-shows without notice, the deposit is refunded in full and the slot is released.
Is my furniture and landscaping protected?
Masking, drop cloths and plant cover are in the price, not an extra line. Floors and fixtures get covered before any prep starts, and cleanup is daily — you are not living in a tarp for a week.
What is not included?
Carpentry and rot repair, lead paint testing or abatement, HOA colour approval, and anything the walkthrough finds behind the siding. All are quoted separately, in writing, before anyone touches them.
Straight answers
What this does, and what it does not.
Does it price for my city?
Yes. Pick a metro or a state and labor is rebuilt from the BLS Occupational Employment and Wage Statistics mean hourly wage for painters (SOC 47-2141, May 2025 edition) — 49 metros plus all 50 states and DC. San Jose bills at 1.27× the national wage, El Paso at 0.70×. Material and overhead stay national. Labor is the line that actually moves between markets, and it is the one we index.
How accurate is the price?
It is a production-rate model: substrate area, coats, application method, condition and your own labour rate. On typical single-family exteriors it lands within the same band a good estimator gives from a walkthrough. It cannot see rot, failed caulk, height access, lead paint or HOA constraints — those are line items you add after looking.
Is the visualizer actually AI segmentation?
No, and we will not pretend it is. It is a colour-similarity engine: you click a wall, it masks pixels within a tunable distance of that sample, then re-tints them while preserving the original luminance and texture. That is why shadow, brick coursing and siding lines survive. For complex scenes — heavy foliage against siding, deep shade — you sample each wall plane separately and lower the reach slider.
Does anything get uploaded?
No. Image decoding, masking and compositing all run in the browser canvas. There is no server call, no API key, no per-image cost. That is also why it works on a phone with no signal.
Can I use it for interior work?
Yes — switch to the Interior tab. It prices wall run and optional ceilings, with interior labour rates and a lower per-gallon paint cost. The visualizer still works on interior photos, which is useful for accent walls.
Can I white-label and resell it?
That is what it is for. Open settings, set your company name, rates and deposit link. Everything persists in the browser. Ship the file to your own domain.
